Local Bookshops

Waterstones

128 Camden High St, Camden Town, London NW1 0LU, UK – 020 7284 4948

It's a fairly large store for a high street with an excellent selection. The atmosphere is quite pleasant to browse in - particular on the lower level.

This Waterstones provided us shelter from the blistering hot London summer, air con is a blessing. But enough of that, there is a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction across the two floors of this shop. Prices are what one should expect from a Waterstones, as is the generally lay out.

Owl Bookshop

207-209 Kentish Town Rd, Kentish Town, London NW5 2JU, UK – 020 7485 7793

An excellent independent book shop with a wide range of books and cards. Staff are always helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Previously I've found it's opening hours a little bit and miss, though a gem when it is open.

This is a wonderful place to browse and buy books for yourself and for presents. It has a good children's section where I often buy books for new babies and children. I also love the range of lino print cards of London scenes.

Waterstones

68-69 Hampstead High St, London NW3 1QP, UK – 020 7794 1098

Lovely layout with a beautiful staircase! Always easy to find the genre I'm looking for, and the selection of cards and stationery is great too. Cafe is lovely, and staff are friendly.

Great place, friendly staff who are more than happy to help if you are trying to find a specific book. I really love this place, it's a huge bookstore with so much variety from poetry all the way to manga.
